It is March 2, 2010 and it is snowing for at least the fourth time this year in the Atlanta area. As I look out the window I can’t help but think of spring and summer. Luckily the Braves first spring training game is on TV to help me realize that the sun and warm weather are not too far down the road.
There are many things to look forward to in the upcoming weeks and months. Among them are some of my favorite topics. First is golf, (not necessarily my favorite topic, but for this particular post it gets the nod). I’ve stockpiled dozens of new golf balls and many new fresh golf tips this winter, and I can’t wait to get out to the range or course and lose and forget all of them.
Another one of my favorite things to talk, think, or write about is the Catholic Church. And as we approach the dog days of Lent, it’s important to look forward and anticipate the resurrection. I don’t consider myself an intellectual or philosophical thinker but I enjoy learning and examining my Catholic faith on a regular basis. Of course, like any good Catholic I haven’t always felt like that but over time I have really developed a passion for the church. I hope by creating this new blog it will help me to spread some of the reflections, questions, and experiences my examinations have provided me.
Certainly there will be more to come….
